Small Grants Scheme

Liverpool has some of the highest smoking rates in the country and the best results come when our communities are part of the solution.

Smokefree Liverpool & Liverpool City Council has  launched two new grant opportunities for CICs and Voluntary, Community, Faith, and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector partners who want to support their communities through simple but powerful conversations. This includes delivering Very Brief Advice, encouraging referrals into the service and helping local people take the first step towards a smokefree life.

Tier 1: up to £2k for grassroots organisations

Grant recipients must increase awareness of Smokefree Liverpool, promote evidence-based smoking cessation messages, deliver Very Brief Advice (VBA) interventions and generate high quality referrals. Partners must have basic governance structures and must not have any links to the tobacco or vaping industry.

Tier 2: up to £10k for established providers with the capacity to deliver more structured activity and stronger outcomes

Funding supports strategic partners capable of delivering structured, targeted outreach to increase quit dates set, improve four-week quit outcomes and reduce smoking-related inequalities across Liverpool. Partners must demonstrate robust governance, safeguarding and data protection arrangements and hold no links to the tobacco or vaping industry

If your CIC or community organisation already works closely with Liverpool residents and wants to make a real impact on local health you can apply here.
